It lives at Laughton Lodge co-housing community, where we offer weekly sauna sessions for members and day visitors.
We also offer private hire on site, and can drive to other venues.
Making a difference
This sauna has one key element that fuels it. Wood.
Like with food, wood is an ingredient, and how it’s grown, harvested and prepared can be so varied, and affects the world we live in.
Not all woodland management benefits the eco-systems that depend on them.
We can chose to support those businesses and families that honour the soil as much as the wood they are selling.
We have pledged to source wood our firewood specifically from a few local providers that put ecology and sustainable forestry practices at the forefront of their endeavours, through Continuous Cover Forestry.
Continuous Cover Forestry is an approach to forest management which aims to develop structurally, visually and biologically diverse forests, in which sustainable production of quality timber is achieved along with the provision of a wide range of ecosystem services.

Mushroom Foraging Tour & Sauna Session
Join us at Laughton Lodge to embark on a private guided fungi tour of the local woodland with Luke, followed by a deliciously warm, relaxing sauna to finish the day. 5 spaces available per group. Day starts at 11.00am and finishes at 3.00pm. £40 per person. Minimum 4 people.
Available Thursdays, Fridays and most weekends throughout September, October and November.
